That is an ordinary and usual response to a request for a dictionary from
a jury - and rightly so, probably. The judge also said that she or others
would define words for the jurors. What I would like to know is whether
words were in fact defined - if definitions were actually requested - or
whether, as is usual, jurors were simply referred back to their
original instructions.
