An on-line paper by John Fraim, Electric Symbols: Internet Words And
Culture, in _First Monday_, June 2002, 7 #6, contends that "Words both
create and communicate worldviews. The greatest potential in history
for the observation and analysis of words exists on the Internet. . . .
the Internet can be considered history's greatest observatory and
laboratory of words."
