PEA-PIE-PUD--New Zealand's version of Australia's "pie floater." Type in this with "New Zealand Expressions" and you'll get a nice BBC list. Spotted at the local Pig & Whistle, along with "Bangers & Mash." Not in OED.

GADO-GADO--This Indonesian dish has been seen in many cities here. Thousands of Google hits. Not in OED.

REEF & BEEF--Fatz Cat here has it as "steak with marinara sauce." Marinara sauce is the "reef"? No lobster?

RIGATONI MAFIOSI SPECIAL--Fatz Cat has this as "short tube pasta topped with tomato, mushrooms, olives and chilli." (See previous "Mafia" & Italian food posts.)

MONA LISA PIZZA--Avanti has this as "smoked salmon, cream cheese, capsicum." There is a "Penne Pasta Mona Lisa," which is "salmon and avocado on cream dill sauce." Google "Mona Lisa" hits don't stress the "salmon" in the dishes.

BANOFFEE PIE--Seen at the McCafe here (a branch of the McDonald's). Time for OED to enter this!

PILLOW TALK--Boardwalk serves this drink, of "hot chocolate with Baileys and Drambuie."

Seen at a local 24-hour store:

TOM THUMBS (Bread--ed.)
YO-YOS (Biscuit--ed.)
MELTING MOMENTS
NEENISH TARTS
MUSLIE SLICE (Muesli?--ed.)
BELGIUM SHORTCAKE
HOT DOG ON A STICK (Seen everywhere, but NEVER as "corndog"!--ed.)
