Sorry for being parochial, but has anyone noticed how the female
recorded announcer for the new "2" trains has a pronounced (so to
speak) northern cities shift? There may also be a light /l/ so "Next
stop will be Wall Street" sounds kind of incongruous, My impression
is that she's from Detroit, but I'm not sure.
