Michael Newman detected an NCS (possibly Detroit) in the voice of the woman
who does the recorded 2 train announcements on the NYC subway system.   I
think Laurence Horn mentioned Chicago as a possibility.

She has just replied to my query.

" I was born in Jersey City...raised in Monmouth County, New Jersey, college
educated in Baltimore and Atlanta
married and started radio in Chicago (stayed 15 years)
returned to New York in 1992 for Bloomberg.

 SO EVERYBODY WAS RIGHT.....NCS..midwest...all mixed up.  ::)) "
