At the other end of the spectrum, I am Mrs. Barton. Not only am I Mrs.
Barton, I prefer Mrs. Merrill Barton, not Mrs. Ruth Barton. My grandmother
said it should be Mrs. Merrill Barton if the husband is still alive and
change to the wife's given name if husband dies or divorce. Guess I am
just old fashioned and traditional. Ruth
