 I note that OED gives /geoduck/  the pronunciation: 'GEE OH DUCK.
When I lived in Washington state in the late 40s, the prevailing local
pronunciation of /geoduck/ was 'GOO EE DUCK.  Perhaps Maberry, Gilbert &
other current NW residents can tell us if this is still true.
