It looks like there's a science fiction fan at Merriam Webster
somewhere!  I was very amused by the example sentence for the word
nescience, so I've included it below.
I thought most listies would approve of the sentiment! :)

Example sentence:
"Your nescience of science fiction is rather obvious,"
Jessie snarled, "and I suggest you try reading it before you
criticize it."
