/zh/ replacing /dzh/?

Well, of course, the right way to say Elijah has neither /zh/ nor
/dzh/...but I don't think I've ever heard a non-affricated English
pronunciation. Garage with /dzh/ strikes me as a Britishism
(Britishcism?).
