HEE-licopter

One of my grade school teachers (5th or 6th grade) noted that when you
say Hell-Eee-Copter, you are invoking the Devil (or something of the
sort).  I looked up the root words in a dictionary, but common sense
told me to not correct her perceptions.

Nice little country school; same teacher for two grades.  Some of her
bits of wisdom are still in my memory; can't say the same for memories
of the wisdom that was imparted by the teachers who had common sense.
