Oops.  No, they maintained it was batted by *Jack* "the Assassin"
Tatum, not by Art ("Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player")
Tatum, who wasn't even at the stadium on the day in question.  It was
Jack who was later made famous by his near-lethal hit on Patriots'
receiver Darryl Stingley in a pre-season game that not only knocked
him out but paralyzed him for life.  At worst, Art Tatum might have
hit an off-note once or twice.
