Hey!  When Safire's lovely assistant, Kathleen Miller, wrote and asked me
for a description of myself, I gave her enough info to fill up the whole
column.  That they decided to call me some whitebread name, er... uh...,
actually, it fits.

At least Barry is an 'etymologist.'
