Vida (vee-da) is the feminine of David - a common name for Lithuanian girls.

I don't look *at all* like Vida Blue - my ancestry is
Scandinavian/Baltic/Jewish...

I'm curious about your first name.  The only other "Vida" I can recall was a
baseball player named Vida Blue, from the early 1960's if I remember
correctly.
