I carry two New Jersey licence documents: the photo-ID which says "DRIVER
LICENSE" and the non-photo (renewed every four years) which says "OPERATOR
LIC."

Checking the Federal Aviation Regulations part 61.5(a)
There is no such thing as a pilot "license".  Instead there is
   (1) Pilot certificates:
       (i) Student pilot [certificate]
       (ii) Recreational  pilot [certificate]
       (iii) Private pilot [certificate]
       (iv) Commerical  pilot [certificate]
       (v) Airline transport  pilot [certificate]
   (2) Flight instructor certificates
