The Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com) lists only two films made by
John Ford in 1940, The Grapes of Wrath and The Long Voyage Home which was
based on 4 short plays by Eugene O'Neill and starred John Wayne as Ole
Olsen. The 1953 movie Trouble Along the Way (AKA Alma Mater) was directed
by Michael Curtiz (who, BTW, directed 3 films in 1940, all of which starred
Errol Flynn).
