Perhaps my ear is entirely out of tune with the rest of you but as a person
who grew up in Southern Illinois the correct pronunciation of the word is
woyshed a pronunciation I keep until this day just so that I can upset my
friends who incorrectly pronounce it warshed wahshed, etc.

Everyone ultimately has to draw a line in the sand, and this is where I draw
mine.
