"Happy Super Bowl"

Yesterday, I noticed some workers at a change of shift at the King of
Prussia Mall wishing one another "Happy Super Bowl," as though it were
some kind of holiday. It made an impression, perhaps because the local
team -- the Eagles -- are so pointedly not playing this year. But it was
the first time I had heard the event treated linguistically as though it
were some kind of holiday.

Has anyone else heard that?
