There are some Ohio newspapers (although not one for Columbus), so I gave
Johnny "Marzetti" a try. The first two citations of "1916" were from 1946!

20 April 1926, LANCASTER DAILY EAGLE (Lancaster, Ohio), pg.10 col. 1:
Dinner was eaten at Marzetti Restaurant and immediately after the boys
were take (sic) to Neil Park.

21 October 1927, LANCASTER DAILY EAGLE (Lancaster, Ohio), pg.13, col. 7:

   16 August 1935. TIMES-RECORDER (Zanesville, Ohio), pg. 17, col. 3:
Marzetti--1 box fine noodles, 1 lb. pork, ground, 1 lb. veal, ground, 1/2
cup chopped onions, 1 cup chopped celery, 1 medium can mushrooms, 2 cans
tomato soup. Cook noodles in salt water, drain and put in baking pan. Cook pork
and veal in skillet, greased in butter, allow to brown and add to meat chopped,
onions and celery. Add all this mixture to the pan of cooked noddles, then
put in mushrooms and canned tomato soup. Season to taste and bake in moderate
oven for 1/2 hour.

22 December 1938, ZANESVILLE SIGNAL (Zanesville, Ohio), pg.3, col. 1:
