Antedating of "Oscar"

The OED's first use of "Oscar" is dated 1936.  Here's an earlier example:

1935 _Wash. Post_ 21 Feb. 11  Robert Riskin, who wrote the screen play, is
to receive the Oscar for the best writing job.
