HOT FUDGE SUNDAE
The HFS was supposedly invented by C. C. Brown's of Los Angeles in 1906, See:

This is the earliest here:
26 January 1914, LOS ANGELES TIMES, pg. II2:

At Christopher's
551 So. Broadway, Near Sixth.

JACK CHEESE
I thought the LOS ANGELES TIMES would have an early hit for this Monterey-based cheese.
20 May 1915, LOS ANGELES TIMES, pg. II10:
Butter was unchanged, receipts being 64,380 pounds. Some new Oregon triplets were received and quoted at 15 1/2 cents, while the Tilamooks remained steady at previous quotations on Oregon stock, they being the only product from that State on hand for some time. Jack cheese is plentiful here and selling at about 14 cents.
