C. Faulkner on the Possessive Antecedent Proscription

I think I've missed this discussion and have been too quick on the delete.
Claude Faulkner taught me grammar during the time of the books' updates.  What
was your example sentence?  I remember his teaching me a rule involving that,
and I probably can track down his source.
