>From a notice copied from an out-of-town newspaper, describing a criminal at large:
He called himself Thomas Morgan, said he was from Connecticut, his pronunciation and accent were similar to those of illiterate men from that state.  Commercial Advertiser, June 26, 1801, (page not noted), quoting the Huntington Gazette of June 17.
