I'm going through the NEW ORLEANS TIMES-PICAYUNE because it won't be digitized this year.

   30 October 1930, NEW ORLEANS TIME-PICAYUNE, pg. 32, col. 4:

_Italian Delicatessen Offers_
_Imported Food Specialties_
_for Halloween Party Dishes_
If the hostess for the Halloween party is trying to plan something different in the way of refreshments, she might drop in at B. Montalbano's Italian Delicatessen at 724 St. Phillip street.
(Col. 5--ed.)
In connection with the delicatessen service Mr. Montalbano also serves sandwiches and cold drinks. His sandwiches are made mostly of imported foods, and his specialty is the Roma sandwich.

(Not the sandwich I was looking for. See: http://www.wyes.org/pages/lost_restaurants.htm
--ed.)
