"no-hit" v. (baseball)

Perhaps one of you database types (Fred, Barry) or baseball
types (Jerry, Barry, Frank) could give a hand here. I'm trying
to find an early example of _no-hit_ v. 'to pitch a no-hitter
against', as in "Vida Blue of the Oakland A's no-hit them on
Sept. 21" or "Randy Johnson no-hit the California Angels" (both
real quotes).

I'm having trouble narrowing my searches, as "no-hitted" doesn't
seem to exist, and "no-hit" overwhelmingly finds the adjectival
form. Not much luck on "no-hit them" or the like. Dickson's
_Baseball Dictionary_ gives a recent example only.

Thanks for any ideas!
