I had posted 1875 for "corn syrup." Again, it wasn't invented by Karo.
The revised OED does not have "maize syrup."
29 September 1869, BROOKLYN DAILY EAGLE, pg. 2:
Kings Co. Manufacturing Co., Greenpoint, samples of grape sugar, caromel
of coloring and corn syrup or maltine.
1 August 1894, BROOKLYN DAILY EAGLE, pg. 1:
