If you can keep your mouth from watering long enough to read it, here is what the Epicurean Club will serve at its annual ball in the Beverly Hills Hotel next Saturday:
A cold buffet consisting of 24 pounds of caviar, new Alaska king crab, clams, Nova Scotia salmon, smoked albacore, anchovies, ice prawns; a hot buffet consisting of canape Lorenzo, fried shrimps, chicken liver wrapped in bacon, angel on horseback, tiny enchiladas, hot canapes Bombay, and--
Dinner consisting of potage tortue clair amontillado, les paillettes au fromage, filet de sole a la bonne femme, contrefilet de boeuf roti sauce Bearnaise, haricots vets princesse pommes terre olivette, le salade Caesar, cerises flambe and petit fours le mocha.*
Fifty chefs from leading restaurants, hotels and clubs of Southern California will prepare the feast, said Robert Kreis, president of the club, and anyone caught going out for a hamburger will be shot between courses.
For people who would rather dance than eat there will be dancing.
