Borrow/lend and other reversals.

"Borrow" for "lend," "learn" for "teach" and "itch" for "scratch"  were
common in the 1950s in the part of Ulster County, NY I grew up in.
Used mostly by lower-class people.

At that time, Ulster County was firmly within the Hudson Valley dialect
area.   Since then, at least part of it has been successfully invaded
by the New York Metropolitan Dialect.
