"Make like a tree and leave" (1954)

In Louisville, Kentucky, in the early 1950's a local TV station (I think it
was WAVE) had a locally-produced show every weekday at noon in which the host
(I think his name was Ed Kallay, with a guess at the spelling) had two
catchphrases:
     "So long like a hot dog"
     "See you 'round like a doughnut"
