This is a year earlier than I'd posted Again, "1949" below should be
"1993."
"Tres leches" has 10,800 Google hits. It's not in the OED.

A: This is a recipe we get repeated requests for. It is served all over
Latin America.
FLAN DE TRES LECHES
(Three Milk Puddiing)
1 15-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 15-ounce can evaporated milk
1 cup whole milk
8 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
CARAMEL
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 cup water
Beat together the three types of milk, eggs and vanilla. Heat sugar and
water over low heat in (Col. 3--ed.) a small skillet until it carmelizes.
Place the caramel in the top of a double boiler. Pour in the egg and milk
mixture. Cover pan and simmer over hot but not boiling water for 1 hour, or
until pudding is firm. Serve at room temperature or chilled.

1/4 ounce lime juice
Splash of cranberry juice
Lime wedge
Pour all the ingredients, except the lime wedge, over ice in a large
mixing glass. Stir and strain into a chilled martini glass. Squeeze and garnish
with the lime.

Right uo to World War II, cream was only little used in traditional dishes
except those in northern Italy and some of those from la grande cucina.
Nowadays cream is added to many pasta sauces to make them more liquid, yet
denser. The best-known sauce based entirely on cream is used for dressing
FETTUCCINE. It is also called fettuccine all' Alfredo, (Pg. 215--ed.) after the late
owner of the restaurant Alla Scrofa in Rome.
Cream, whipped or liquid, is used in sweet preparations, although egg
custard is often preferred. A traditional sweet made entirely of cream and sugar,
the only one of its kind, is LATTEMIELE, from Bassa Lombardia. Another
classic sweet made with panna is the Piemontese CREMA COTTA.
