"Don't Go Mungo Park" & DOA (1946) & Boney-ize & Ghana Food

I was told that Mungo Park didn't like to wear socks.  (Popular knowledge
here?)  It's an ad to encourage condom use.


Just a speculation, but could this be rhyming slang? It has the hallmarks,
particularly that of using a well-known name: Mungo Park=stark=stark naked
(i.e., without a condom). Just a thought.
