   "Commitment ceremony" and "civil union" are both not in the OED.  They
don't appear to show up on Google Groups before the 1990s.
   People have been discussing "gay marriage" with these terms every day.
Get 'em defined.
   "Pairage" appears not to have caught on as a replacement of the word
"marriage."
