I just heard on NPR, in a spontaneous and unrehursed interview the word sancture. Is this a fusion of sanction and sensure? It would seem from the context of what they were saying. Sancture is OED- OEDs- WBD- WU3-. What ought I to call this kind of compound/suffixation? Regards, David barnhart at highlands.com
