Yesterday was the second-biggest day of traffic at www.barrypopik.com. The biggest day was when the blog just got started in late July, and then was mentioned on the popular blog Gothamist.com.

The NY Times and Toronto Globe & Mail articles generated hits, but in surprisingly small amounts. People had to go to from a newspaper to a computer keyboard, and not that many did.

However, yesterday, my "23 skidoo" work (not perfect because it's all unavailable in the old ADS-L archives) made two popular blogs in both New York and Chicago--Gothamist.com and Gapersblock.com.

Obviously, a few Gapersblock.com people went searching for a similar Chicago slang page. There's this "Chicago Vocabulary" one and another extremely similar one, but neither is very good.
