How could you! "Frankenfood" (or, more accurately, the prefix
"Franken-") was one of the nominees for "Word of the Decade" (let
alone, "Word of the Year") back in 1999, and "Frankenfood" was the
lone example. It is enshrined at our website
(www.americandialect.org).
