Kerry coined "baby killer"? (another coinage myth, of course)

This should be on a "word-a-day" or an "urban legends" site somewhere.

The epithet did not originate in the Vietnam War. For all anyone knows, it
might go back to Pharoah and ancient Egypt. I read about that every Passover.
There are also passages in the New Testament about Herod.

The epithet was extremely popular in the United States as applied to the
Kaiser during World War I. Which was slightly before the Vietnam War,.

So, if one overlooks all of recorded human history,  ...hey, isn't that what
the internet is for?
