Hinky Dinky; question for Jonathan Lighter

Hi, Gerald. Yes. But life and work being what they are (identical), I don't know when.

I used the word "collected" too carelessly. I've only collected a dozen or so personally, but hundreds appeared in print in the '30s and '40s.

Most of these strike me as too insipid to have been widely sung during the war.

Meanwhile, any more "folk" versions out there?

Hmmm. Scores of stanzas? Sounds interesting. Jonathan, do you have any plans to compile and publish them?

Best. -- Gerald
