war lordism (1917)

I just heard war-lordism (OEDs spelling) on NPR and was curious about its
origins.  I looked in NewspaperArchive.com and found the following:

Uncle Sam is long suffering and kind.  He has been badly treated by the
alien enemy and has stood for much from many of his native, but unnatural
sons.  It's time fore disciplining some of the recalcitrant ones of the
latter class while he is getting ready to apply the big stick to Prussian
war lordism.  --Mansfield News.
