I generally have not responded to Barry's comments on the scope of my
quotation dictionary, but just so people don't develop wild expectations
about the book let me state that it is primarily a book of quotations and
that it will not include 1,000,000 items, which would be about the size
required to encompass all the things Barry seemingly thinks it should
include.

I hope that this clarification does not discourage Barry from posting his
wonderful findings regarding proverbs, sayings, slogans, jokes, nursery
rhymes, etc., as some of these are extremely useful for my book.  I just
want to make sure that people understand the necessary limitations of my
or any reference work.
