me too.  over the months we've had examples of unetymological "l" in
/ou/ ("both" etc.), /au/ ("cow" etc.), and open-o ("withdraw" and,
possibly for some people, "poem").  these look like "restorations" of
vocalized "l" that wasn't there historically.

any examples with /u/?
