My impression is that it's been a long time since "frig" was little known and narrowly distributed.

I did, and it confirmed my intuition that FUCK is much more widely known tha=

FRIG in any sense, whether masturbatory, trifling, or as a euphemism for=20
FUCK. It does not seem "logical" at all that a well-known and widespread ins=
ult as=20
(GO) FUCK YOU(RSELF) would have "developed from" one that is, at best,=20
little-known, narrowlly distirbuted historically and culturally, and in itse=
lf best=20
known as a euphemism for the very form it has supposedly evolved into.
