More on gestures...

There is an interesting piece in the New Dictionary of Sacramental Worship
about the sign of the cross, no doubt, one of the earlier "gestures" still
in use about 1800 years later.  Although, we don't know if Adam
"middle-fingered" Eve after giving him the apple, do we?

There was also an interesting piece in the Science Times section of The
New York Times on Tuesday.
