 Thanks for the account of  the appearance of this song.  I remember its
great popularity very well.  It was quite a while before I learned that it
wasn't  "Buy beer, Mister Shane,"  which was what I thought I was hearing,
whether  sung by the Andrews Sisters or others. Everyone was singing it.
