Slashdot, http://slashdot.org , a website devoted to tech news
and discussions thereof. When Slashdot mentions another site,
that site tends to get a huge amount of traffic, so quickly
that it can overwhelm the target site, sometimes causing it to
crash or at least become unavailable. This is called "getting
slashdotted".
