"Somewhat the same idea, differently expressed, can be found in Greg
Calkin's new Oopsla (Vol. 1, No. 1) in the "Slush Pile" review column
and in Rog Phillips' article "How to Pub a FMZ and stay sane." "
OED has 24 July 1950 for "dianetics". L. Ron Hubbard's article
"Dianetics: The Evolution of a Science" was in the May 1950 issue of
Astounding Science Ficition, and it was also released as a book about
that time.
Nevada | Reno | Nevada State Journal | 1950-02-07 "Winchell on Broadway"
Walter Winchell p. 4 col 3.
"There is something new coming up in April called Dianetics. A new
science which works with the invariability of physical science in the
field of the human mind."
