It's hard to search for "zig" because thousands of examples appear, about
99.9% being related to "zig-zag".
Here are a couple with "zigs" though.

By some strange coincidence, both of these are by columnist Clarence L.
Cullen ... who was also the author of "Panhandle Pete Talks", the 1915
piece which I quoted for "zob".
