Short of seeing more evidence, I'd just assume this is kids (shooting marbles) acting like adults (who shoot dice).

This page:

http://www.landofmarbles.com/marbles-rules.html

has some rules for marbles from Akro Agate, a manufacturer, from 1931. I don't see any dice terms or slang (although it is a relatively formal document, so slang wouldn't necessarily be appropriate).

It does include "histing" (not in OED with this sense), "hunching" (not specifically in OED with this sense, although one could see where it derived from the verb "hunch"), and "lag" (which appears to have more or less the same meaning as it does in billiards -- "lag for the break" -- and also isn't in the OED).

Other marble terms waiting to be defined and researched:
clearies
steelies
sulphides
peewees
Popeyes
snakes
bloodies
aggies
cat's eye
immies
