$1,000 for "scumbag;" Charm the bees off trees

$1,000 FOR "SCUMBAG"--A judge asked a prospective juror if he could be
objective and what he thought about the defendant. The prospective juror (who  had
been robbed before) said that he thought the defendant was a "scumbag." He
was held in contempt of court and had to pay a fine of $1,000. (He also risked
jail time.) So much for sticks and stones, I guess. There possibly are several
 news links, but extra work is required--a story that I read today did NOT
include the word "scumbag"...If "scumbag" will set you back $1,000, how much is
 "shyster" worth in court?
