Oh, probably. Glad to see Google shows I'm not the only one who blends
"pull the wool over someone's eyes" with "put one over someone," also
commonly rendered as "put one over on someone," which pleases me just
as much as this:

Kid: Aw, Mom! Why did you bring that book I don't want to be read to
