And perhaps it should be mentioned that the hillbilly accent was extremely
inaccurate in the Real McCoys, at least in Walter Brennan's case.  I think he
sounded the same in every movie he ever made which included Sergeant York where
he played another hillbilly, from the Tennessee Mtns.   Brennan was from
Eastern Mass and had a non-rhotic accent.  But despite this I loved the Real
McCoys--Brennan was so good!
