"Rice-paper hoopty" : used by the Judge on today's show to describe a
Japanese-made jalopy.

"Tighten .. jaws" : likewise, used by the Judge to mean "anger
someone" or "show anger via facial expression." This dates back to
ca.1965. "Give ... the jaws" is a variant from the same time; "get the
jaws" is, obviously, "get angry or show anger."

These are so old that JL is, no doubt, already aware them. But, if not ...
